Illustrated Storybook Run, Spot, Run

"Run, Spot, Run" is a refrain from well-worn, mid-20th century illustrated books written to teach children to read. One page typically showed a running dog named Spot, with the predictable caption of "Run, Spot, run."

This new little book totally re-conceptualizes the conventional story of Dick, Jane, and family dog for 21st century readers, both young and old. Written in rhymed verse and with original illustrations, it tells the coming-of-age story of a little spot, named Spot, who champions identity and individual differences in a successful rebellion against the tyrannically conformist De-spot, an eraser who's out to obliterate all "mis-shapes".

The new "Run, Spot, Run" is a rhymed allegory with pictures. Presented online here for your pleasure, it is available in a beautifully printed 8.5"x11" hardback, limited edition of 50 signed and numbered copies here or at https://www.janetstrayer.com/product-page
