This framed drawing/painting (16"x 20")on  archival paper and framed is from the artist's new series called Orni-Sapiens: imaginary human x bird species depicted as anthropomorphic birds. Several works in this series pay homage to  famous artists by re-visioning their style in the novel context of Orni-Sapiens. This artwork, for example, pays homage to Utamaro, a Japanese artist from the 18thC celebrated for his graceful depictions of  women of the "floating world."
