Her Brushes Take Wing -an original 12'x16" acrylic painting on canvas framed 14"X18" offers a surreal depiction of what it is like for an artist (the bird-woman) deprived of home but carrying the tools to create something like one wherever she lands. One of theOrni Sapiens series created by Janet Strayer, she lives in a more-than-human world of bird-human affinities.
