Facing the Dark is an original 12"x16" acrylics on canvas portrait  in the more-than-human world of Orni Sapiens.--a series  imagined by Janet Strayer in which humans have bird-like affinities and birds have human-like personality and attitudes. Facing the Dark portrays a woman courageously facing  the dark... as all must do at some time.
