My big Vancouver show is over, and I'm literally and figuratively transported!. It was a good show, generating interest and new homes for some paintings. Even before the show ended, though, I was on my way to Europe, where I'll be living for awhile.
During this time, along with many creative adventures, I'll be writing an art column for Arts Avenue magazine in Canada. So, check it out to hear about matters that might be interesting to all of us "en route" in our creative life journeys. Added details and photos will be posted on my blog: see blog tab on this site or visit janetstrayer.blogspot.com
Now, I'm settled in the south of France and living inside a painting by Cézanne or, depending upon mood, one by Van Gogh. Really, it's incredibly beautiful here. I'd thought to continue my abstract line of paintings, but the very first painting I just had to start was the one in-progress shown here: so Cézannesque and in tribute to my new and physically-sensually abundant home life here. I think I'll call it "Chez Nous with Cézanne".
