It's Thanksgiving in Canada, and turkey is the traditional main course. So what did I just see sauntering along a Saturna Island public road, without a care in the world? A rafter of wild turkeys! Just ambling, as if they were off to an invited Thanksgiving feast (if only they knew)! I think I'll leave you with a different set of birds in this rather fun painting.
The end of a season has come. Summer is over. Not just by the calendar's reckoning, but more significantly so by all the season's changes you see in island life. Among them is the closing of the PRISM gallery after the Thanksgiving weekend. Goodbye until next summer. Happy Thanksgiving (my favourite holiday). May each of us have something to be thankful for.
